Once you hold the magic mirror in your trembling hands, a road will appear and then, in a veil of mist, a medieval castle. You may decide to enter the castle, having heard rumors of vast treasures within its decaying walls, but remember: once you have entered the castle, you can't turn back. Not until you have found your way through the maze of passages and solved all the mysteries in the castle can you triumph. Oh, you may scream if you wish, but you will receive no help. You have only your own power and that of Trucula to rely upon. Be prepared for nerve-racking encounters with loathsome witches and demons and deadly battles with horrid creatures of questionable form and character. Be also aware of hidden traps and keep a pure mind because lovely temptresses will do their best to use your weakness to their advantage. But most important of all, never surrender to frustration, or you will never solve the secret of the castle.

To best enjoy ZEDDAS
*Increase the memory set-up (if you have more memory)
If you have enough memory, the game play will perform much smoother
when you increase the memory set-up in the application. Follow the directions below to do that.
1. Copy the "ZEDDAS (5M)" icon in "ZEDDAS" to your hard disk.
2. Select "ZEDDAS (5M)" icon on HD, and select "Get Info" in the pulldown menu "File".
3. In the dialogue window increase the "Preferred size" from 5120k to a higher level.
4. Close the dialogue window, and double-click the "ZEDDAS (5M)" icon to start.
(After this you will still need the ZEDDAS CD-ROM in the drive to play)
*Saved games
Saved games are stored in "ZEDDAS.dat" files. Deleting or altering these files may cause improper playback.
*Other warnings
If the game does not start, or either the graphics or sounds are distorted, check the following points:
1. Using LC 630
ZEDDAS may not run properly when "CPU energy save set-up" is ON for models such as Macintosh LC 630. Open the "CPU energy save set-up" in the Control Panel and turn it OFF.
2. Be certain that your hard disk is not named "ZEDDAS".
3. ZEDDAS may not run properly when you have conflicting INITs, Extensions or Control Panels in your Extensions or Control Panels folders.
Disable those INITs, Extensions or Control Panels by moving them out of System folder, then restart your Macintosh.
4. Setting up large cache in memory set-up may cause a memory shortage.
If you notice awkward animations, open "Memory" in the "Control Panel" and set the cache to 128K, then restart your Macintosh.
5. Make sure that Virtual Memory is OFF. Open "Memory" in the "Control Panel" and turn "Virtual Memory" OFF.
